
What does the Council do for its members?
Organises forums which keep practitioners informed of the latest teaching practices, theories, discussions and debates affecting adult literacy, numeracy and English language teaching
Offers members discounts at forums
Assists individual members with queries relating to adult literacy and numeracy education
Lobbies government and draws media attention to adult literacy and numeracy education issues
Contributes to policy development through professional representation on national bodies
Represents members and their views nationally, with representation on the national peak body, the Australian Council of Adult Literacy (ACAL)
Provides associate membership to ACAL
The Council welcomes new members.
